About me

Me.  Let me see.  I am first and foremost a dog rescuer.  Before that I was (and still am) a mom.  No empty nest problems here.  I’ve filled my nest with four legged angels.  In my second life I am a massage therapist and a rescue addict.  I’ve raised children, worked a full time job and now it’s my turn.  I gotta be me, as they say!

I have been a massage therapist since 1999 and a dog lover all of my life.  I’m a foster mom for the Dachshund Rescue of North America and I mainly foster special needs dogs.   Dachshunds that are handicapped usually either can’t walk or are recovering from surgery to be able to walk.

I’m busier now than I have ever been and my friends always tease me by saying “I thought you retired!”.  I tell them I did but now I get to do what I love to do.  How many people are lucky enough to say that?

You are right. Very few people are lucky and blessed enough to say that they are doing what they love to do once they retired. Thanks a million for being a foster mom to special needs dogs. You are their angel and an amazing person. You know what? With all the terrible things I hear from the news every day and the horrible things that we, humans, do to each other, I am so glad and thankful that there is still hope because of people like you.
